BIG IDEA

Social media is a good thing, but how you use it makes it good or bad. Bring a good thing to life so that people will know that the person behind this account is a true apostolic church member.

INTRODUCTION

Which social media app are you using?
Answers by: Tiktok, fb, Snapchat, x, telegram, viber, whatsapp.

These apps are very important. Most people make the argument that social medias are not good?

It's like a kitchen which has a knife. How you use the knife makes it good or bad. So how you use social media makes it good or bad.

MAIN POINTS

1. SOCIAL MEDIA CHANGES HOW PEOPLE SEE YOU

When a person leaves from home to school his or her name changes, like Priscilla turns to stellastical, and other names. So a person you know may have a different name on social media.

Social media gives people different levels. Social media has made some people billionaires.

But some people are not using social media well. The things we do not manage can damage us.

2. DO NOT TRADE YOUR DIGNITY FOR VALIDATION

There are people who, just for people to embrace or accept them, can post certain things on social media. Some people can set cameras on them and do certain dance on social media but will not dance at church.

Wonim de3 nti aa cy3 saa dance like twerking on social media, just for likes.

Social media is a good thing but accept that there is real life aside social media.

Never trade your dignity for all manner of validation.

Do not let "I want to be liked and followed" ruin your good name.

3. THINK BEFORE YOU POST

Before you post something, think about it.

Scripture: Proverbs says a fool says all his mind but the wise waits after.

What you are posting, think about it. Ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary?

Good thing at the wrong time is disaster. The fact that you feel to do it does not mean you are allowed to do it. A fool utters all his mind.

Control what you watch before it controls you.

There are some beautiful things that can lead us to ugly situations.

When you hold the phone, the whole world is watching you.

Scripture: Philippians 4:8, whatsoever things are good, pure.

Verify. Don't just be sharing things.

4. WATCH YOUR REPUTATION

When you go to an embassy, some of the things they ask is your social media account. Some corporate business will ask for your social media account.

Do you know that if you wear a nursing, police or the uniforms of other organizations, you cannot wear anything? Be careful.

Scripture: Proverbs 2:1 says a good name is better to be chosen than riches.

Do you know a good name can be a password to open the doors of riches. Do you know 3din se333 33ya papa.

Illustration (the interview):
Two people have first class going for interview. These two people dressed differently. One person said, "Mr. Agyekum asked me to bring my particulars." Mr. Agyekum can open the door if Mr. Agyekum has good reputation, and now it is left for the person bringing Mr. Agyekum as referee to prove he or she is worthy of the job.

Some children are destroying the reputation of their parents on social media.

5. DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR PRIVATE LIFE OR FIGHT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Don't expose your private life to the public.

Stop using social media to fight people. Some people can even curse on tiktok.

Aside what we hear, people have beef on social media. Some people don't know certain things or the actual things but can hold grudge from what they see on social media.

There are some people, you don't know them, but some people can even insult their helpers on social media without knowing.

6. DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE'S LIFE PRESSURE YOU

Some people's posts on social media can pressure them to do certain things because we are comparing ourselves.

Don't let some people's high life pressure us.

7. GUARD YOUR EYES

Guide your eye from social media sexual content.

The devil is messing up our eyes on social media. May God have mercy on us.

Some people are searching. 3woe 3woe 3woe? It's becoming so rampant.

8. MANAGE YOUR TIME

Manage your time before social media steals your dignity.

Some people can move from app to app from morning to evening to midnight, even to 12:00, before he or she remembers, "I have not washed my dishes."

Illustration (the girl in Tarkwa):
There was a young girl employed in Tarkwa. That girl will come to shop late, set up camera and be dancing to a certain song while holding the nose and waving the hand and dancing. That girl is wasting productive time.

CONCLUSION

Social media is a good thing but how we use it can damage. Bring a good thing to life so that people will know that the person behind this account is a true apostolic church member.

May God guide us.
