History of Afrancho Central Assembly

Afrancho Central Assembly was birthed in 1993 under the Breman District. The early church identity was rooted in prayer meetings, Biblical teaching, and practical service to the local fellowship.

In that formative period, leading members such as Elder George Darko, Late Madam Abigail Mansah, and Mama Theresa Addo provided visible support and continuity. Their involvement strengthened both structure and spiritual stability in the local assembly.

The first presiding Elder was Late Elder Anane Apau. He was succeeded by Elder Atta Gyamfi as the second presiding Elder.

Leadership then moved to Late Elder John Kwabena Adu as the third presiding Elder. Afterwards, Elder Dr. Sefa Boakye became the fourth presiding Elder and later handed over to Elder Agyare.

In 2017, Elder George Wiredu became presiding Elder and continues in that role to date. The same year marked a major transition as Afrancho became a district, with Ps. Ebo Ansah Awotwe serving as the first district Pastor.
