Becoming Great Helpers
As we strive to become great helpers in the Apostolic Church-Ghana, we must first understand the importance of living a life of dignity and integrity. This means being women of strong character, with a deep sense of morality and ethics that guide our decisions and actions. As helpers, we are called to be role models, demonstrating the values of Christ in our daily lives and inspiring others to do the same.
Our role as helpers is not limited to the church or our families, but extends to our communities and vocations as well. We are called to be salt and light, bringing flavor and illumination to the world around us. This means being actively engaged in our communities, using our gifts, talents, and skills to make a positive impact and bring about transformation.
In order to excel as dignified helpers, we must also prioritize our spiritual growth and development. This involves cultivating a deep and intimate relationship with God, through prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. As we grow in our faith, we will become more effective helpers, empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve others with wisdom, strength, and compassion.
A Story for the Heart
I recall the story of a young woman in our church who had a passion for serving others. She began by volunteering in the children's ministry, and soon found herself leading a team of helpers who were dedicated to caring for the needs of the children. As she served, she demonstrated a remarkable spirit of dignity and humility, and her example inspired others to follow in her footsteps. Today, she is a leader in our church, and her influence extends far beyond the walls of our sanctuary.
Another example that comes to mind is that of a group of women in our church who decided to start a community outreach program. They began by visiting the sick and the elderly, and soon found themselves providing food and clothing to those in need. As they served, they demonstrated the wisdom and strength of Christ, and their efforts brought hope and transformation to the lives of those around them. Their story is a testament to the power of dignified helpers, who are willing to serve others with humility and excellence.
Wisdom for This Week
As we serve others, we must do so with humility and excellence, recognizing that our role as helpers is not to seek praise or recognition, but to bring glory to God. This means being willing to serve in the background, often without fanfare or appreciation, and yet continuing to give our best to the work of the Lord.
We are not alone in our journey as helpers, for we are part of a community of believers who are called to support and encourage one another. This means being actively engaged in our local churches, participating in small groups and other ministries, and seeking to build strong relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Ultimately, our goal as helpers is not just to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us, but to bring glory to God and to advance His kingdom. This means being focused on the things that are eternal, and seeking to make a lasting difference in the world around us. As we strive to excel as dignified helpers, may we be guided by this vision, and may our lives be a reflection of the love and wisdom of Christ.
