Flourishing as Dignified Helpers

Psalm 92:13

As emerging ladies in the Apostolic Church-Ghana, we are called to flourish as dignified helpers, serving with wisdom, strength, and partnership in our church, families, communities, and vocations, and making a positive impact in the lives of those around us.

Scripture Foundation

Psalm 92:13 - planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

Becoming Great Helpers

The concept of being a helper is deeply rooted in the Bible, where we see the first woman, Eve, created to be a helper to Adam. This role was not one of inferiority, but rather one of partnership and mutual support. As emerging ladies in the Apostolic Church-Ghana, we are called to understand the value and significance of our role as helpers in the kingdom of God.

In order to flourish as dignified helpers, we must first understand our identity in Christ. We are daughters of the Most High God, loved, valued, and cherished by Him. This understanding of our identity gives us the confidence and boldness to serve others with dignity and wisdom.

As we serve others, we must do so with strength and courage. This means standing up for what is right, even in the face of adversity, and being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. It also means being willing to take risks and step out of our comfort zones to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.

A Story for the Heart

I will never forget the day I realized the true value of being a helper. I was serving at a church event, and a woman came up to me with tears in her eyes. She told me that the simple act of serving her a meal had made a huge difference in her life, and that it had reminded her that she was loved and valued. In that moment, I realized the power of being a helper, and the impact that it can have on the lives of those around us.

As I reflect on my journey as a helper, I am reminded of the many women who have inspired and mentored me along the way. From my mother and grandmothers, to my pastors and leaders, I have been blessed to have many strong and dignified women in my life who have shown me what it means to serve with wisdom, strength, and partnership. I pray that I can be the same kind of inspiration and mentor to the emerging ladies around me, and that together, we can make a positive impact in the world around us.

Wisdom for This Week

One of the key ways we can flourish as dignified helpers is by using our gifts, talents, and skills to serve others. Whether it is through teaching, preaching, singing, or serving in other ways, we are all called to use our abilities to make a positive difference in the world around us. As we do so, we must remember to do it with humility and a willingness to learn and grow.

As we serve others, we must also remember to take care of ourselves. This means prioritizing our own spiritual growth and development, as well as our physical and emotional well-being. When we are healthy and whole, we are better able to serve others with dignity, wisdom, strength, and partnership.

Ultimately, flourishing as dignified helpers requires a deep commitment to our faith and to the values of the Apostolic Church-Ghana. It means being willing to live out our faith in every area of our lives, and to use our lives to make a positive impact in the world around us. As we do so, we can be confident that God will use us to make a real difference in the lives of those around us.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the calling and privilege of being helpers in your kingdom. We pray that you would give us the wisdom, strength, and courage we need to serve others with dignity and partnership. We ask that you would use us to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us, and that you would give us the grace to flourish as dignified helpers in every area of our lives. In Jesus' name, amen.
