Celebrating Motherhood and Ministry

Proverbs 31:10

As we celebrate Mother's Day, we honor the mothers and mother figures who have shaped our lives and ministries, and we empower the emerging ladies who are becoming mature, Spirit-filled helpers in our church, families, and communities.

Proverbs 31:10 - A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

A Mothering Grace Worth Honouring

As we gather to celebrate Mother's Day, we are reminded of the significant role that mothers and mother figures play in shaping our lives and ministries. The apostolic church has always recognized the value of women in ministry, and we are grateful for the countless ways in which they serve and lead in our congregations.

In the book of Proverbs, we find a beautiful description of a virtuous woman, who is a helper, a homemaker, and a minister to her family and community. This passage reminds us that motherhood is not just a biological role, but a spiritual calling that requires wisdom, strength, and dignity.

As helpers, mothers and mother figures are called to partner with God and with others to build strong families, churches, and communities. They are called to be spiritual leaders, discipling their children and others in the ways of God, and to be a source of comfort, guidance, and support to those around them.

A Story for the Heart

I will never forget the influence of my mother in my life. She was a strong, Spirit-filled woman who taught me the ways of God, and who modeled a life of faith, love, and service. She was a helper to our family, and to our community, and her legacy continues to inspire me to this day. As I celebrate Mother's Day, I am reminded of the many ways in which my mother shaped my life and ministry, and I am grateful for her example and influence.

As I look around our church and community, I see many women who are making a similar impact. They are mothers, mother figures, and ministers, using their gifts and talents to serve and bless others. They are helpers, partners, and leaders, and they are a vital part of our church and community. Let us celebrate and honor these women, and let us recognize the significant role that they play in our lives and ministries.

Wisdom for This Week

In the apostolic church, we believe that every woman has a unique calling and gifting, and that motherhood is just one aspect of their ministry. We encourage our women to discover their gifts and talents, and to use them to serve and minister to others, whether in the home, the church, or the community.

As we celebrate Mother's Day, we also recognize that motherhood is not limited to biological mothers. There are many women who are mother figures to others, providing care, guidance, and support to those who need it. We honor these women, and we thank them for their selfless service and ministry.

Let us continue to empower and support our mothers and mother figures, that they may be all that God has called them to be. Let us recognize the value of their ministry, and let us work together to build strong, Spirit-filled families, churches, and communities. Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers and mother figures, and may God bless and strengthen them in their calling.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for our mothers and mother figures, who have shaped our lives and ministries. We pray that you will bless and strengthen them, and that you will continue to use them to build strong, Spirit-filled families, churches, and communities. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
