Scripture Focus
2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Reflection
Paul teaches that union with Christ brings a decisive break with the former way of life; the sinful nature is considered dead, and a new nature, empowered by the Spirit, is inaugurated. This radical renewal is not merely moral improvement but a fundamental re‑creation that bears the imprint of divine life and holiness.
As people who have been made new, we must daily reject the habits and attitudes of our former self and clothe ourselves with the righteousness of Christ, allowing His character to shape our speech, work, and relationships. When we walk in this newness, we become living testimonies of God's grace, encouraging others to seek the same transformation, and we can rejoice that the promise of continual renewal is sure.
Prayer
Father, thank You for making me a new creation. Help me to walk daily in the fresh life of Christ, shedding the old ways that bind me, and to reflect Your love in every thought and deed. In Jesus' name, Amen.
