Reflection
The apostle Peter reminds us that the command ‘Be holy, because I am holy’ echoes the covenant of Israel, where God demanded a people set apart for Himself (Leviticus 20:26). This holiness is not achieved by human effort alone but flows from the very nature of God, who is intrinsically pure and righteous. As His children, we are called to mirror that divine character, allowing His holiness to be the standard that defines our identity.
Living this calling daily means surrendering habits that tarnish our witness and embracing practices that cultivate purity—regular prayer, Scripture meditation, and accountability within the body of Christ. When we pursue holiness, the world sees the grace that empowers us, and our lives become testimonies of God’s transforming love. May you walk each day clothed in His holiness, shining His light to a world longing for true purity.
Prayer
Lord, fill my heart with reverence for Your holiness; help me to turn away from what defiles and to pursue the purity You desire. Grant me the Spirit’s strength to live set apart, that others may see Your grace in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
