But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So I will boast gladly in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. In the midst of our frailty, God's unmerited favor becomes the source of victorious living.
Scripture Focus
2 Corinthians 12:9 - But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
Reflection
The Apostle Paul, confronting a persistent “thorn in the flesh,” learned that divine sufficiency does not erase difficulty but transforms it. God's response, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness,” reveals a paradox: human frailty becomes the arena where heavenly strength is displayed, confirming that grace is not a mere comfort but the very engine of spiritual power.
When we surrender our limitations to the One who delights in our dependence, we cease striving for self‑sufficiency and begin to rely on Christ's power flowing through our brokenness. Let this truth shape daily living—offering every flaw, every failure, as a platform for God's glory—so that hope springs anew, and we walk confidently in the victory He provides.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that Your grace covers my every shortcoming. Help me to lay my frailties at Your feet and to trust that Your power works through them. Fill my heart with confidence to serve boldly, knowing Your strength sustains me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
