Sermon Notes: Faith & Identity (Part 2) by Sis. Bridget Akomeah
Yesterday's Youth Service dialogue notes are live: Sis. Bridget Akomeah on 'Who Am I in Christ? Identity Beyond Likes, Followers and Opinions.'
The dialogue notes from yesterday's Youth English Service are now published on the church website.
Sis. Bridget Akomeah took us through 'Who Am I in Christ? Identity Beyond Likes, Followers and Opinions,' from the Faith & Identity (Part 2) dialogue: how many of us measure our worth by likes, followers, and opinions, and why social media identity is unstable. Today you're liked, tomorrow you're cancelled.
Her charge: the question is not 'who does the world say I am?' but 'who does God say I am?' Rooted in 2 Corinthians 5:17, she walked through why we struggle with identity (comparison, validation, too many voices) and how to live beyond the likes (know the Word, seek God over approval, turn off the noise).
