3 DAYS ABISA (MPAEBƆR): When We Ask, Heaven Hears

The Apostolic Church-Ghana, Kumasi North Area, prepares for three powerful days of prayer, faith and expectation

There are moments in life when the only place left to turn is upward.

When human strength reaches its limit, when answers seem delayed, when circumstances appear bigger than our ability to change them, prayer becomes more than a religious practice. It becomes an expression of dependence on God.

This is the heart behind the upcoming 3 DAYS ABISA (MPAEBƆR), a three-day prayer gathering presented by The Apostolic Church-Ghana, Kumasi North Area.

Under the theme:

“Ask, and it shall be given”
Matthew 7:7

believers will gather from 30th September to 2nd October 2026 at Unity Temple, Tarkwa Maakro, for three days of prayer, seeking God and exercising faith.

When the eyes look upward

The imagery of the 3 DAYS ABISA poster communicates something deeply connected to the theme.

The ministers pictured on the flyer appear with their eyes lifted toward heaven. It is a powerful visual representation of what prayer does. Prayer turns our attention away from the limitations around us and directs our hearts toward God.

To look upward is to acknowledge that our ultimate help comes from the Lord.

It is a posture of expectation.

It is a posture of faith.

It is a posture that says, “God, I have come to You because I believe You hear.”

The theme, “Ask, and it shall be given,” comes from one of Jesus' direct teachings in Matthew 7:7. The verse continues with the invitation to seek and knock, presenting prayer as an active pursuit of God.

This makes ABISA more than a gathering where people simply present requests. It is an opportunity to intentionally seek God and bring the concerns of life before Him.

Three days dedicated to prayer

The 3 DAYS ABISA will take place from Wednesday, 30th September to Friday, 2nd October 2026.

Each day begins at 9:00 AM.

The programme brings together ministers and leaders from the Kumasi North Area and the surrounding districts, creating a collective atmosphere of prayer and spiritual fellowship.

The participating ministers featured on the programme include:

Together, they represent different congregations and leadership responsibilities across the area, coming together around one central call: prayer.

What does it mean to ask?

Asking God requires honesty.

There are prayers that are easy to say publicly, and there are prayers that live quietly in the deepest parts of our hearts.

Some people will come carrying family concerns.

Others may come seeking direction.

Some may be praying for their children, marriages, education, businesses, ministries or future.

Others may simply desire a renewed relationship with God.

Whatever the concern may be, prayer gives believers the opportunity to bring it before God.

Jesus' words in Matthew 7:7 are remarkably direct:

“Ask, and it shall be given.”

The instruction begins with one simple action: ask.

But biblical prayer is not merely about presenting a list of things we want. It is also about relationship, surrender, trust and seeking God's will.

When we pray, we acknowledge that God is greater than our circumstances and that our lives ultimately depend on Him.

When faith meets expectation

One of the defining elements of prayer is expectation.

Expectation does not mean assuming that God must respond according to our preferred timetable or method. Rather, it means approaching God with confidence in His character and willingness to hear His people.

The three days of ABISA provide an opportunity for believers to intentionally step away from the distractions of everyday life and make room for prayer.

For three days, the focus will be directed toward God.

For three days, voices will rise in prayer.

For three days, believers will gather around the Word and seek the presence of God.

For three days, people will have the opportunity to bring their petitions before the Lord.

A call to the church

The 3 DAYS ABISA is also a reminder that prayer is not the responsibility of a few people within the church.

Prayer belongs to the entire body of Christ.

Young people can pray.

Parents can pray.

Children can pray.

Church leaders can pray.

Workers can pray.

Those who are celebrating can pray.

Those who are waiting can pray.

Those who are uncertain can pray.

Those who have experienced disappointment can pray.

Those who have seen answers can pray.

Every season of life gives us a reason to seek God.

This gathering therefore presents an opportunity for members, families, friends and believers from different places to come together in one spirit and seek the Lord.

The question behind the theme is personal:

What are you asking God for?

Perhaps there is something you have been carrying for a long time.

Perhaps there is a situation you have discussed with everyone except God.

Perhaps you have prayed before and are tempted to stop.

Perhaps you simply need direction for the next chapter of your life.

ABISA offers an opportunity to bring that matter before God again.
