DEVOTIONAL
As we journey through this year under the clarion call to Fulfill the Apostolic Mandate, it is important that we pause and ask ourselves a foundational question: What exactly is the Apostolic Mandate, and where does it begin?
The word "apostolic" comes from the Greek apostolos, meaning "one who is sent." Before the disciples were ever called apostles, they were first called close to Christ — to sit, to learn, to watch, and to listen. Only then were they sent out. This sequence is not accidental; it is divine design.
In Matthew 28:18–20, the risen Christ did not suggest — He commissioned. He declared all authority in heaven and on earth was His, and from that authority, He sent His followers. The mandate, therefore, is not a request born of weakness but a command born of power.
We live in a season of great need. Communities around us are spiritually hungry, families are broken, and many have not yet heard the saving name of Jesus. The Apostolic Mandate reminds us that the Church does not exist for itself. We are a people gathered so that we may be sent.
This March, as we are still in the early strides of the year, let this truth settle in your heart: You are not a spectator in God's mission — you are a sent one. Your neighborhood, your workplace, your school, your home — these are your mission field.
The mandate begins not on a pulpit, but in your daily life.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. In what specific area of your life can you actively demonstrate the Apostolic Mandate this week?
2. Is there someone around you who needs to hear the Gospel but has not yet heard it through you?
3. Are you spending enough time with Christ — being called near — before going out?
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for counting us worthy to be sent. Lord, fill us with Your Spirit and Your boldness. Let this year not pass without us making a meaningful impact in Your Kingdom. Help us not to be hearers only, but doers of Your Word. Use TAC-GH Afrancho Central Assembly as a mighty instrument for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
DAILY CHALLENGE
Intentionally share the love of Christ — through a kind word, a prayer, or the Gospel message — with at least one person today.
